5G Private Enterprise Network Solutions from VOICE Consortium at IMC2022

India Mobile Congress IMC2022) was organised at New Delhi from 1st to 4th October 2022. Indian Prime Minister Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi, Minister for Communications & Railways Hon’ble Shri Ashwani Vaishnaw, Minister for Commerce & Industry Hon’ble Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Hon’ble Shri Pralhad Joshi, Shri PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, Shri V.K. Tripathi, Chairman Railway Board and more than 20 Secretary Level officers in Government of India and CEOs of PSUs were important visitors to 5G Enterprise Network Consortium solutions presented by consolidated efforts put up by VoICE (Voice of Indian Communication Technology Enterprises) team with multiple players joining hands to present multiple end to end solutions covering Armed forces, Railways, disaster management, automobiles, mining, robotics, banking, finance , data centres. All were SMEs and output of one was input for the next player. 5G Private Enterprise network solutions shown may be first of its kind in the world as 23 players were part of the consolidated solutions. All the activity was led by me as Director General, VoICE. Video clip with the Indian Prime Minister and some photographs of the Ministers are being shared. I had made a bold statement in front of the Prime Minister that within next 18 to 24 months’ time at least 5 domestic players will be providing commercial 5G Private Enterprise Networks globally and will be challenging Nokia & Ericsson and domestic design led Indian players will ensure that the vision of Shri Narendra Modi that India attains Global leadership in 5G and then 6G is on the right path and team work of Government and domestic industry will ensure targets are achieved. Within 48 hours of completion of the event, VoICE Consortium is already having a Proof of Concept implementation in a live network.
